About The Healing Horse Sanctuary

The Healing Horse Sanctuary is a UK registered charity dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating horses, ponies and other animals that have suffered neglect, abuse, illness or abandonment. Founded in 2008, the sanctuary has grown from caring for just two horses into a safe haven for rescued animals while also providing a welcoming environment where people can experience the therapeutic benefits of spending time with horses and nature. Ran by the fantastic Susie Gessey and her team of myricle workers, these individuals are dedicated, motivated and selflessly committed to their mission to help animals. They are the very best of us and society. 

The sanctuary's work goes far beyond animal welfare.

They create a peaceful space where children, adults and families can reconnect with nature, improve wellbeing and experience the unique bond between humans and horses through therapeutic sessions, educational experiences and community events. Their mission is built around compassion, healing and giving both animals and people a second chance.

Our Commitment

Choosing a charity partner wasn't about ticking a Corporate Social Responsibility box.
